La Orquesta Típica Fervor de Buenos Aires
La Orquesta Típica Fervor de Buenos Aires is proud to say that is the first, and so far the only, orchestra, to have rediscovered, after 40 years, the style of the maestro Carlos Di Sarli.
It felt that it was necessary to return to that style, not just with the aim of recreating it, but with a desire to build on it, as its essence continues to have much relevance today.
One of the things that the orchestra finds most interesting in this style is the tie between the music and dancing, a union full of romanticism in which as the orchestra plays, the people dissolve themselves into the dance, creating a magical atmosphere which everyone enjoys - musicians, dancers and non-dancers alike.
The orchestra is keen that development continues, so in each new arrangement all the ideas are drawn out: always danceable, so the music retains its accessibility, but also bringing out wider musical elements so that it is not limited to a mere accompaniment of dancers. In this way it can be enjoyed as much by those who only listen as by those that interpret the dance.
Because of this the orchestra is as happy performing in milongas as it is in theatres.
We look to interpret a rhythmical tango intensely, in a way that pulls the dancers like a train. Over that clear and constant pulse rise the melodies, soaring with a life of their own. We aim to reinvigorate the melody, not to hide it, but to make it possible for it to be listened to clearly and meaningfully, so that it lifts and moves us: it floods us with its dramatic elements while still allowing the violins, who bring their own natural smoothness, to take us to another plane.
