Choosing the right level

To enhance the teaching experience for everyone, please make sure that you attend classes for the right level of your experience.

Beginner: Little or no experience of dancing tango
Improver: Have some knowledge of the basics* but often find execution difficult. Have been dancing regularly for about 6 months to a year.
Intermediate: Have good knowledge of the basics* and can do them competently. Have been dancing regularly for about one to 3 years.
Advanced: As well as being competent in the basics you have introduced elements of musicality, decoration and different styles. Have been dancing regularly for at least 3 years.
Master: Have been dancing regularly for over 5 years.

Intermediate/advanced workshops (SAT 2B & MON 3) are for either Intermediate or Advanced dancers who are relatively new to the topic.
* Basics: balance, posture, walking, leading, navigating the dance floor, forward & backward ochos and giros.

Partnering in Workshops

In the spirit of tango, in all workshops there will be a policy of swapping partners. Within this, those who book in couples will be given as much opportunity as possible to practice together.

While it is possible for leaders and followers to book classes separately, we will operate a policy of not allowing more than four unmatched leaders or followers at any one time. This may mean a reserve list operating for any class.

Classes will start promptly. Please arrive in plenty of time. All workshops will be limited to 15 couples.
